Is this really a Google Photos alternative?+
Yes. Immich offers automatic mobile backup, albums, sharing, maps, search, and a familiar timeline. Your experience depends on your server, storage, and backup plan, which we help design.
Do I need to buy a server?+
No. We can use a compatible PC you already own, manage apps on your VPS, or host them on our hardware when capacity is available.
Is open-source hosting free?+
Most app software is free to use, but reliable hosting still needs hardware or VPS capacity, storage, backups, electricity, and maintenance. We explain those costs before you commit.
Can you move my existing photos and files?+
Often, yes. We assess the source service, amount of data, available exports, and upload speed, then include a realistic migration plan in your quote.
